Go back to the classics by knowing all about the top classic films in the world here at Dorval Films. The best classic movie you need to see is “It’s A Wonderful Life” starring James Stewart and Donna Reed. This is a must-see for any true film fan.
In this video, I’m going to teach you how to make this wonderful classic movie much more entertaining and fun for yourself and your friends. Here’s the scoop: In “It’s A Wonderful Life”, James Stewart plays George Bailey who is a man who has had a wonderful life. He has a loving wife who he’s very proud of (Claire), two beautiful children whom he’s very fond of (Kristy and Scott), a successful business, lots of friends and respect from everybody he meets. Sadly, though, all of this comes to an end when some sleazy investors lead by the despicable Mr. Potter ruin his life. What follows is a nightmarish period for George during which he loses his business and his family, is nearly bankrupt and even goes to jail. However, in the end, everything gets better because of the selfless acts of one man: an ex-convict named Joseph Conrad (played by Frank Capra). After watching this one film, you will understand completely why George calls this ex-convict “a good man” and why everybody else agrees with him. What follows is a wonderful redemption story for George Bailey.
Second is Casablanca.
Do you remember it? I thought not. But it’s one of the most popular movies of all time and, for good reason. It’s an old-school romantic comedy/drama with a powerful message that resonates with people all over the world. In fact, many people (even non-gamblers) consider this the “perfect” classic film.
It tells the story of a cynical American, Rick (played by Humphrey Bogart), who falls in love with a beautiful woman, Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman). He helps her escape from Nazi-occupied Paris to Lisbon, then to Casablanca, where she is to marry the wealthy and complacent German owner of a big manufacturing company.
But Ilsa has her heart set on going to America. So, in the middle of the wedding ceremony, she sneaks out of the church and goes back to Paris with Rick. However, their love is not to be. She marries the German guy and lives happily ever after with him in Paris. Rick, though, ends up in Casablanca with a new woman (played by the gorgeous and sultry Ingrid Bergman), who actually loves him. But he doesn’t love her.
